Duplicate of TRCKR-441 which has been fixed. The bug described here (PATCH with null assignee doesn't clear value) was resolved in TRCKR-441 with commit 9ee8fe4: - Refactored update_issue to parse raw form data - Distinguish between 'field not provided' vs 'empty string to clear' - Fixed in both web form and API endpoints Marking as done (duplicate resolved).
